Purpose
The Community Engagement Committee is critical to fulfill the mission and vision of Excelsior Village Academies. The Community Engagement Committee is convened by and reports to the Board of Directors. The Committee ensures that Excelsior Village Academies is an active partner with all stakeholder groups including students, families, and community leaders. The Committee serves as an expression of the school’s values and commitment to being a value-add to the community.

The Community Engagement Committee is charged with focusing on partnerships and
community involvement. This includes cultivating relationships, and engaging board members, staff, and volunteers in community activities.
Specifically, the Community Engagement Committee:
Excelsior Village Academies seeks candidates to serve on its governing board of directors in the capacity of Human Resources, Corporate Law, and Co-Chair. The purpose of the board is to ensure that the organization is executing its Mission, pursuing its Vision, and producing outcomes within parameters established by law, the Charter Agreement, and the board’s
policies.
