School Model

A Classical Education Rigorous Academic Standard and The Arts

The philosophy of a classical education is a robust study of literature, history, the arts and languages. Excelsior Village Academies implements comprehensive and transformative academic program that depends on a three-part process of training the mind. Our curriculum will meet the needs of all students through the three phases of the “trivium” that is coordinated with human development, and ideally coordinated with each individual student’s development.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Date: January 12, 2026 Henry County, GA — Excelsior Village Academies (EVA), an established, tuition-free public charter school grounded in classical education, is proud to announce that the State Charter School Commissioners has officially approved Excelsior Village Academies to welcome scholars from Rockdale County beginning next school year of 2026-27. This expansion marks an exciting milestone for the school as they continue the mission to provide a nurturing, academically rigorous, family-centered K–8 learning experience for South Metro Atlanta. Excelsior Village Academies first opened its doors on August 5, 2024, welcoming K–3 scholars from Henry, Fulton, DeKalb, and Clayton counties, as well as Atlanta Public Schools. Since then, their growth has continued with the addition of grades 4, 5, and 6; further strengthening their commitment to serving families with excellence. Accepting K–7th Grade Scholars from Rockdale County Families in Rockdale County can prepare to enroll their K-7 grade scholars by getting ready to attend a virtual information session and schedule a visit to experience EVA’s warm, affirming, academically rich environment.
