Regard for the feelings, wishes, rights or traditions for each other, others and ourselves.
Thank you for your interest and we invite you to tour our website to learn more about our school design, mission and the Excelsior Village Academies (EVA) difference.
Excelsior Village Academies is a community co-designed charter school that is undertaking a unique approach to creating schools that truly reflects the needs and aspirations of the communities we serve.
We co-design our schools with families, educators, students and community organizations. We believe it takes a village to actualize the promise we are making to families to prepare our students for a life of service, impact and choice. Schools are important institutions within our communities and they have a responsibility to amplify the voices and create a responsive experience for the students, families and communities we serve.
We will grow to be a network of schools committed to providing an encouraging, caring, joyful and supportive learning environment for our scholars and staff members. We insist and persist on high academic and behavioral expectations for our scholars. We hold ourselves and each other accountable to uphold our mission. There is a palpable sense of urgency around student achievement and data driven practices. We are professionals and we attend to every detail. We partner with our families and commit to making the heart of every decision stand with each scholar, family and the communities we serve in mind, always.
Out of many neighborhoods and communities, we are ONE village!
With humility,
Michelle Flowers
